Peter Fair

pfair@velocityfg.comPeter brings over 15 years of transaction experience to Velocity Financial Group, having specialized since 2001 in the life science and healthcare venture capital markets.
Prior to joining Velocity, Peter was a Director for TriplePoint Capital, where he focused on financing emerging life sciences companies. Prior to TriplePoint, Peter was a Principal with Telegraph Hill Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm that focuses exclusively on the life science, healthcare, and med-tech markets. Peter also served as VP of Business Development for United Emergency Services, a venture-backed healthcare services company that was sold to EDCare. Peter began his career in venture capital as an Associate with The Aurora Funds, a Research Triangle Park-based firm where he focused on early-stage life science investment opportunities. Earlier in his career, Peter worked as a Senior Consultant with both Deloitte’s middle market consulting group and advisory practice where he focused on post-acquisition integration and M&A due diligence engagements.
Peter graduated, cum laude, with a degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University where he was also a member of the school’s varsity rifle team. Peter earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Peter is married to Ellen, a highly talented artist, and they are completely out-numbered and out-witted by their two daughters. In his free-time, Peter pursues any activity that puts him in the wilderness, mostly swatting waters with a fly-rod. He is an avid builder of his own rods and tackle.
