Frank Cirone, Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder
Frank is co-founder of Velocity Financial Group and is our chief executive officer in charge of all aspects of our business. Prior to starting Velocity, Frank was co-managing partner of investment fund Cedar Boulevard Capital. Frank is a veteran of technology leasing, having spent the bulk of his 25-year career with Comdisco, Inc. the largest independent IT leasing company during its time. He was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Comdisco US Leasing responsible for leading the organization and management team for finance, sales, portfolio management, administration and equipment refurbishment. Frank also served as the CEO and president of Comdisco Ventures, held various senior management positions in the U.S., Europe and Asia and built niche businesses in the telecom and biotechnology equipment arenas. Frank began his career in accounting with Arthur Young and is a Certified Public Accountant. Frank received his MBA degree and Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University in Chicago.
Jan Haas, President & Co-founder
Jan is a co-founder of Velocity Financial Group and serves as our president and head of the Ventures Group. Prior to starting Velocity, Jan founded and served as co-managing partner of Cedar Boulevard Capital, a fixed-term investment fund that acquired and managed distressed pools of loans and leases. Prior to Cedar, Jan ran the East Coast office for Comdisco Ventures from 1999 through 2001. Jan assumed the co-head role of Comdisco Ventures during 2001 through 2003, at which point he acquired the remaining assets of Comdisco Ventures to form Cedar Boulevard. Jan's tenure at Comdisco Ventures was preceded by a five year track in investment banking, most recently as a vice president with the technology group at Montgomery Securities (acquired by Bank of America/NationsBank). Jan began his career as an account officer with Chemical Bank (now part of JPMorgan Chase) in New York. Jan received his MBA degree from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Math and Computer Science from Middlebury College.
John Vande Moore, Vice President of Finance & Administration
John is part of the founding team of Velocity Financial Group, where he is responsible for heading up the finance and administrative functions. Prior to Velocity, John served as the vice president of finance for Cedar Boulevard Capital. Before joining Cedar, John served as vice president finance for Comdisco's North American IT leasing division, the company's largest division with over $5 billion in assets and $1 billion in revenue. Prior to Comdisco, John held a variety of credit, finance and treasury positions at Life Fitness, a division of Brunswick Corporation. John started his career in GE Capital's Corporate Finance Group. He received his Master of Science degree in Accountancy from DePaul University, and his Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison. John is a Certified Public Accountant.
Charles Neff, Chief Credit Officer
Charlie is part of the founding team of Velocity Financial Group and is our chief credit officer overseeing our underwriting functions and heading up our credit and investment committees. Prior to Velocity, he managed the credit function as senior vice president at Key Bank's global vendor finance group in Superior, Colorado for four years. Prior to Key, Charlie established the domestic credit department at Comdisco, Inc., one of the largest independent leasing companies at the time, where he was employed for 18 years. At Comdisco, his role was the establishment of policies and procedures, credit underwriting, and staff management and development. With annual credit reviews of over $1 billion, the credit group managed annual charge-offs to less than 0.5%. Charlie received his MBA and Bachelor of Arts degree in Far Eastern Languages & Civilizations from the University of Chicago.
James Anderson, Chief Legal Officer
James joined Velocity Financial Group in April 2007 as our chief legal officer in charge of our legal affairs and documentation around our financings. From 2004 until joining Velocity, James served as a corporate/securities partner with the law firm of Shefsky & Froelich. From 2000 to 2004, he worked in the corporate department of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. James received both his Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, and Master of Business Administration degree, highest honors, from the University of Illinois, and his Bachelor of Science (Finance) degree, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University.

Mark Fikse, Principal, American Capital Strategies
Mark Fikse joined American Capital Strategies in May 2006 as a principal on the Operations Team. Prior to joining American Capital, Mark was president of Creative Touch Interiors, an $800+ million subsidiary owned by The Home Depot. Mark led the development of this enterprise from the initial stages, through six acquisitions and rapid organic growth. Prior to this role, he was vice president of strategic business development for The Home Depot where he was actively involved leading acquisitions for the company. Mark also spent over eight years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company and Arthur Andersen. He holds an MBA degree from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and an undergraduate degree in business and accounting from Hope College. Mark is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Richard Finocchi, Executive Vice President, TWR3, Inc.
Rick is a 25 year business development executive having spent most of his career at high-tech leasing and solutions providers, Comdisco, Inc. and Forsythe Technology, Inc. As vice president of corporate development for both of these organizations, Rick managed cross-border acquisitions and divestitures valued at more than $1 billion, engineered an ESOP-based leveraged buy-out, structured tracking stocks and spin outs, and served on the investment committee for venture transactions. Rick currently manages the investment activities of a family office in Chicago. Rick received his MBA degree from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT.
Robert Grunewald, Managing Director, American Capital Strategies
Bob joined American Capital Strategies in April 2006 as managing director of the Financial Services Group. Prior to joining American Capital, Bob had been managing director at Wachovia Securities, where he founded and led the Specialty Finance Investment Banking practice. Before joining Wachovia Securities, Bob headed the Specialty Finance Mergers and Acquisitions practice at NationsBank Securities. He has worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years, completing numerous mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity raises and structured financings. Bob holds an MBA degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.
